What's Going on.....
Reading:
This week we are reading the story "Welcome to China" (p.20 in our reading textbook.) Our comprehension skill is fact and opinion. We will also be working on reading and interpreting different parts of a book (title page, table of contents, index, glossary,etc.).
*What you can do at home to enrich your child's reading:
-Practice High Frequency (HF) words nightly by pointing to them and having your child say them back to you.
-Take turns with your child rereading the weekly story and asking questions about what is happening throughout the the story.
-Have your child show you where they find their answers in the story for their Tuesday/Wednesday comprehension homework.
Math:
This week we are reviewing multiplication strategies and rewriting multiplication problems using the Distributive Property. We will be taking our Unit 2 Benchmark Test from the district this Friday. Your child should be able to:
