Today in Social Studies we talked about the Grand Canyon. We learned that the Grand Canyon is a HUGE landform and has its own National Park. It was made due to erosion. Erosion??? Yes, a specific river is responsible for carving out and eroding away sides of the Grand Canyon. Do you know what river has done this??

The river in named the Colorado River. The river has given Earths formation and structure like a few places on Earth.I think the Grand Canyon is 6 million years old

The scale is so vast that best vantage points only a fraction on of the canyon's 277 miles can be seen !!

The grand canyon's rocks go back in time 2 billion years ago at the lowest and at the highest 250 billion years ago. Even though the canyon is 277 miles long and is about 4000 feet wide it is not the widest or longest canyon in the world.
